Think different. Interpreted differently.

A German deep-tech start-up from Hamburg introduces itself.

About 1toX

When the global mainstream in Silicon Valley calls out today: “Fast, fast! Move fast and break things!”, then our deliberate braking, thinking things through and building reliable quality is the true, modern form of “Think Different”.

It is essentially the German engineering paradigm translated anew into the AI age:

  1. Precision instead of hype: Against the promise “App in 5 minutes at the push of a button” we set our promise: “Real, secure enterprise software in 24 hours that won't collapse tomorrow”.
  2. Anti-hype attitude: It takes courage to say: “We don't sell you miracle magic, but a disciplined, deterministic system”. We turn the supposedly “stuffy” German virtue of order, standards and compliance into a high-tech security feature.

Imagine what world trade looked like before the invention of the shipping container: Every ship was loaded with crates, barrels and sacks in every conceivable shape. Loading took days, every interface was manual work, and when a sack was damaged, nobody knew what was missing. The invention of the ISO standard for containers revolutionised the world economy: not because the containers are more beautiful, but because the dimensions are exactly standardised. Today they fit seamlessly onto every ship, every truck and every train. You can follow the entire global flow of goods on one screen in real time and switch from ship to rail with a click. That is exactly the vision behind this platform for enterprise software.

Our values

Mission statement

Reliability. Trust. Transparency.

1toX provides the deterministic security and architecture framework (APA) that translates the wild productivity of generative AI code into reliable, auditable and industrial-grade software.

Our mission is the transformation of vibe coding into precise engineering. We do not want to replace AI for developers and companies, but to provide the infrastructural guardrail that is needed so that AI code meets the requirements of EU laws (CRA, GDPR) and enterprise IT.

Vision statement

The holy Grail: Central Operating System for Software Topology

The COS (Central Operating System) is the vision of changing software development in companies from the ground up. Away from confusing programming chaos, towards a central nervous system for company IT.

The vision behind it is the idea that enterprise software should no longer be a pile of isolated code islands, but a transparent, interactive network. The long-term goal is complete visual control of complexity.

It is based on our core principle: standards enable automation.

Imagine...You could unfold your entire software ecosystem in front of you like a living, high-precision architecture map – in real time, transparent and continuously zoomable.

Imagine...One click, and you zoom seamlessly from the global data flow overview down to the single data contract of a specific function. No guessing, no searching in outdated Confluence documentation, no more black boxes.

Imagine...When a team changes a data field in a microservice, the COS calculates the entire dependency network in a fraction of a second. It shows you immediately and precisely: “This change breaks the interface to service X”. ... and on request the AI adapts the affected data contracts automatically, before a single line of code is deployed.

Imagine...You are never again dependent on the fading memories of individual senior devs (“Thomas built that three years ago, nobody knows exactly how”). The system knows the topology, stores the knowledge intrinsically in the graph and allows every new developer or AI agent to work productively and securely on the system from day one.

We are proud to be funded by EXIST and InnoRampUp and thus to be part of the German start-up ecosystem.
